The Antics of a 21-month-old
Yitzy wakes up and I take him out of his crib. This happens many mornings. "Avi up?" he says/asks. He goes to my bedroom to my bed, where Avi is sleeping. "Avi up?" he says a few times.
He is now....!
He's developing a sense of humor (for a 1-year-old)...
He put 2 diapers he found on Avi's head and said, "Avi's hat."
He started putting together 2 words like 2 weeks before Pesach and now his vocabulary is growing and growing. But his favorite things to say are: "Avi up," "Tatty home" and "Tatty vacuum." Guess he doesn't enjoy talking about me much. :)
have a great week!

Now it's Avi's turn!

I can hold a toy and I'm proud of it!!
can you imagine...
It's Friday night and you're in a taxi and you get out and are carrying your baby?
That is exactly what happened to me this past Shabbos! Wow, what an experience!
Well, it didn't exactly START that way. We went to some friends for Shabbos and right before Shabbos started my husband noticed that the baby was breaking out in what I now know was hives - white spots with red around. The white kept spreading. I called the doctor - got a machine. "Call back during office hours. If this is an emergency, go to the emergency room." Thanks, but no thanks!
anyhow, to make a long story short, after Shabbos started someone suggested we call hatzlocha, who came and advised we go to the ER. So I held my little precious baby, not yet 4 months old, in my arms in the back of a hatzola ambulance!
We weren't sure what the reaction was to - a medication he had just restarted for his mild reflux? A vaccine he had that day? The carpet at the friends home?
Anyhow, a little Benedryl and the hives -- which by that time were covering his legs, arms and part of his chest - dissapeared! B"H!
The hatzola told me I SHOULD return home afterward, believe it or not! The hospital sets up a taxi and they open and close the door for you. Quite an interesting experience but B"H all is well!
Btw, with the doctor's instruction, I tried the medication today again and he broke out - so we know what the cause was B"H - the medicine. Hope he doesn't scare me again and have other allergies!!
chag kusher v'sameach!

This is my niece. I haven't seen her in toooo long, but I did get a picture of her recently. Does she look like Yitzy at all? She's only 3 1/2 weeks younger than him! But I think they look very different!

Here's a close up of Y to compare to...

and one of A, too!
(my sister takes some great shots of my kids!)
I have a bar mitzva tomorrow...of a "little" boy I took care of when he was a baby! (I was his mom's mothers helper when he was 1 and 2). Wow, time flies! He should be well, live a very long life and give his family much nachaT!!!
Hey, Lauryn, you reading this?? What about you CC?
Hi, Rivky!! :) And Miriam?? anyone else? :)
Happy Pesach cleaning!!
