Although I don't think she reads this blog, I'm doing a shout-out to Aidel Maidel. She inspired me to diet...Months back she blogged that she was on Weight Watchers and lost a few pounds right away... So that inspiration, plus my neighbor saying she had the WW book that I could use...helped me take off over 25 pounds! Now is the hard part...KEEPING IT OFF!
(I say as I eat some IQ Parve Ice Cream) O:) (guilty look!)

When someone else needs the chizuk, the advice, it is so much easier that when you need it yourself. When you have to CONVINCE YOURSELF of things you've said, it's not always a piece of cake.

HaShem gives you what you need.
NO ONE can get what should be yours.

I remember thinking/saying that with shidduchim. No one will marry the boy you are supposed to marry. If someone gets engaged to a guy, he wasn't for you. If a guy said no to you, he obviously wasn't for you.

And mine did.

But did my job?
Yes, I have a job. I'm quite happy with it.
What's my problem then?

I feel let down.
I'm upset.

My job has 0 growth. Unless you count the 1.5% pay increase that all the employees got in the summer.
For my job you need 90 credits toward your BACHELORS.
I have finished my bachelors.
I have finished my masters.
I have my provisional certification in both regular and special ed.

Do they care?
No.

So...what's my point? I want to get something better paying, because I CAN.
If HaShem wants, that is.

There's a certain position I was hoping for.
Someone told me I had a very good chance to get the job when it became available.
Not just "someone," but someone who had a big say in the hiring.

The job became available.
I didn't get the job.
At least not yet.

I have a right to feel let down, no?
I have a right to be upset.

So I'm not rushing to look for a 2 bedroom apartment yet.
I will grin and bare it.

The job wasn't for me.
Obviously.
Obviously?
I wish I felt that way.

I really shouldn't complain. B"H I have a job. I'm paying my bills.
The 2 girls who got those positions I was yearning for...
The jobs is THEIRS. It wasn't meant for me.
At least not yet.... :/

Do you know how many times I think of things I want to write about? I have many, many hocks written...in my mind....just haven't gotten to type them yet.
I should keep a list so I remember...
