We went upstate today for a hike. It was really nice! We actually wore sweaters/jackets! So fall is really here???
We're moving!! Not far from our present apartment, but to a roomier place. Looking forward!
The job is going well, B"H.
That's about all, folks!

Excited By the World!

A fourteen-month-old (kn'h) is fascinated by the world. Everything is still new and exciting to him and he sees things in ways you wouldn't imagine. Pushing my son in his carriage down the streets, he looks at the grass and the trees. He points to the grass and he points to the trees and then back at the grass. He babbles. Is he speaking (in his own way) of the wonders of Hashem's creations? Is he saying, "Wow! Look how big that tree is"? Sometimes WE ought to look at things with the fascination of a one-year-old.
At 14 months, my "baby" is already a little boy. He has his likes and dislikes. He likes to play with water. He enjoys big sticks and drinking milk. He doesn't like being left alone. He doesn't enjoy being ignored. He KNOWS what he wants and is learning to express his wishes. He goes to the high chair and "fusses" if he's hungry. He holds out his hands if he wants to be picked up.
He walks and talks (sort of) and is a real mensch (sort of -- don't watch him feed himself!).
It's amazing how a person can grow in ONE YEAR!
As Elul is here....wouldn't it be wonderful if we could all say we grew a lot last year, too? Halivei...BE"H hopefully this next year...
K'siva v'chasima tova!

In Addition....

Last post I spoke about simchos I was sharing in THAT week, however, I would like to mention other simchos -- I didn't forget, don't worry! :)
Mazel Tov to Mrs. Sunshine and family on the birth of a baby boy! Much nachas!
Also, my class has a kallah - Mazel Tov to "TV". She's the 1st kallah in our class since me.... a big simcha!
2 other baby girls on my block born in July, as well.
MANY MANY MORE SIMCHOS BE"H!
PS Do you think once things settle down Mindy will be back to blogging? I mean, babies DO sleep a good percentage of the day...we'll see!

And There Should Be Many More!

What a wonderful week, B"H! I keep hearing and sharing in good news and I hope it just continues and continues!
Firstly, mazel tov to our dear Mindy on the birth of a baby boy! May he grow to be strong and healthy and always give you and your husband much nachas!! My joy and happiness at this time is unmeasurable! Shep nachas!!
Last night I attended the pidyon haben of the son our of friend's. The boy (meaning the father) is from Russia and he and his wife got married last year. But what's extra special about this simcha is that he and his wife (also a BT) are not youngsters. The baby's father got married at about 40. I was so happy to share in their simcha!
Then I just visited my neighbor who had a baby girl while I was away. And I saw on onlysimchas that my friend's sister had one, too, B"H!
And then...I haven't verified the info yet, but it seems that this man I know, who lost his wife a little over 2 years ago, is engaged, B"H!
Simchos, Simchos -- may we share many more BE"H!
