B"H Mommy's doing well. Should be home this Friday, BE"H!

Tonight was my husband's first night going back to night seder... unbelievable...!!!

I passed that teacher exam I took last month - B"H!

Had a "grand" time with Miriam last night...is it what you were expecting? ;) Not so intimidating, right? (and I don't mean meeting with me!! but sshh....)

Ok, speak to y'all! And Happy Birthday to Lauryn!

Just Saying Hi....
Hiya! Well, things are pretty good here, B"H. I just posted hellos to some people in my guestbook - so check to see if you're there! :)
We'll miss you, Lauryn. You still able to check this out?
My mom is doing well, B"H. Getting there...
Congrats to Munchkin on doing well on her RCT/Regents!! :)

Updates
My mother's surgery went well, B"H, though she's in pain. Please continue to daven for her.

While I was in the hospital visiting my mother this afternoon, I was able to visit a student's mother who had a baby this morning - so that was nice, B"H!

Most schools are finishing now, but my work continues. That's life. But I am very happy with my job, so no BIG complaints. ;)

Remember the 2nd cousin who's engagement was called off? His sister is I"YH getting married in a couple of weeks, so that's nice. Hopefully his time will come very soon, too.

We're going to miss you, Lauryn, when you leave for camp. I really hope to hear from you! The rest of you, whatever you're doing, you too! You know where to find me. I'm stuck in the city this summer. :\ Maybe I'll get upstate a little bit, as I have already this month.

Have a good Shabbos!

If you could please say tehillim that it should be a success and she should have a complete recovery, it would be greatly helpful!!!
Chaya Malka -s Minna Tova.

Thanks so much and we should share good news!

This & That

Tomorrow is my graduation. My step-sister-in-law sent flowers (ordered online!). Isn't that thoughtful?

I had a wonderful visit from Rivky and CC (also known as EH!) - it was a nice Shabbos afternoon surprise!

On a sadder note, I was just told that my 2nd cousin's chasunah was cancelled. That's the boy who had the accident and they were raising money for.... Everything is for the best....

Okay, that's all for now...KIT!
And Chanie, thanks for the chicken soup offer, I'm doing well, B"H! But if you want, I could always use some ice cream! Just kidding! :)

Again?!?
I have strep throat -- again!
That's the 4th time since I'm married!
I think I've had strep more this year than I have in my entire life - how strange! B"H My husband hasn't had it at all during this time; I guess I'm catching it from my students or something.
Anyhow, I'm feeling well, B"H, so don't worry.
I just know that if I ever have a sore throat, I need to check it out right away!
Hope you're all feeling well!!
:) Have a great week!

Kallah pleads: "Help him walk to our chupah"

This headline catches my attention in an ad in the Yated this week. I read on:
"A tragedy has befallen a young engaged couple. A horrific accident caused both the Chosson's legs to be amputated. The Chasunah is schedule for I"YH June 13th. As the Kallah said, 'Whatever Hashem sent us we must accept, and go on from here.' Doctors say the Chosson will probably be able to walk at his Chasuna using temporary prosthesis. The medical costs, rehabilitation and permanent prosthesis fees are astronomical."
The story sounds familiar to me: this is my 2nd cousin.
This Sunday, I"YH, there is going to be a "Ladies Day Out" to help raise money for all the expenses.
Anyone interested in coming, it is THIS SUNDAY 12:00-6:00 pm at Menorah Hall - 5000 14th Avenue.
Featuring:
* Devora Heller, Illuminating the beauty of Hafrashas Challah at 1:30 PM
* Surprise Singing Sensation, for women by women at 3:30 PM

*Hot Fleishig Buffet * Delicious Refreshments
*Chinese Auction - amazing prizes: toys, gift certificates, furniture, silver and much, much more
*Surprise Entertainment for Children
*Split the Pot

In addition, there will be a Men's Event Sunday night at 6 PM at Sigiter Hall- 1511 50th St.

The events are endorsed by Gedolim, Rabbonim, and Roshei Yeshiva...and as I mentioned, it's for my 2nd cousins, so you know that this is not "made up."

I have my MASTERS DEGREE!!
