Home
Some good news...recently, my preemie cousin went home, B"H. I don't have much news on her. I heard she's still on oxygen (a noisy machine that keeps her parents up!) but B"H she's doing well! Maybe I should post a picture of what she looks like? ;) I'll think about it.
Happy cleaning!!

A Few Random Thoughts....

We had our first upsherin at school this week...it's amazing how different a 2-year-old kid with long (beautiful, curly, dirty-blonde!) hair looks when shaved off with curly peyos on the side...an adorable, little boy! He didn't quite like all the attention he got, but we're kvelling over him!

Other nachas news, 2 of the girls in our class were first seen "pretending" playing house this week. You gotta be an educator to understand this milestone. So zees!!

A second cousin had an accident last week...I'm not sure how he's doing, but a) I hope he gets better b) he's engaged and I hope his kallah will decide to keep him regardless of what happened...But whatever the case is, it's all b'yidei shamayim. I want to get the exact name of the boy to post, but I'm not sure... I think it's Tzvi Hersh ben Shamai. Please daven for his speedy recovery.

Pesach is coming...How am I preparing? Hmm...doing haggadas with the 2-3 year olds, working on a term paper due next week.... who has time for anything else? Don't worry, we'll manage (BE"H! We hope!)

Wishing you happy cleaning!!

Oh, and PS, my "diet" started before that chocolate cake...but what can you do when you're a guest at a seuda? And say no to such a dessert????

Food Talk
We ate over at this really nice couple Shabbos day. All their kids are married and out of the house, and it was just us and them.
Chocolate-lovers out there, just imagine this:
Oozing hot chocolate cake with a scoop of ice cream on top.
Mmmmmm...........
Not something healthy to eat all the time, but once in a while..... Aaah.....
Ok, enough about gashmius. I want some ruchniyus input, k?? ;)

Secrets

Before I expand on the topic of today's blog, I want to thank Lauryn and Q for the wonderful Melava Malka. It was great seeing you both - especially our special out of town guest!! So what did you really think of Mr. Mosquito?? ;)

Secrets...all of us have some, don't we? Some we may share with no one or just a beloved few...
People entrust you with information not to share.... I'm entrusted, too, with things I wouldn't post here....
But what if I someone was hurt by information being witheld? What would you do?
Breaking someone's trust is out of the question. A secret is a secret, no matter how bad a liar you are.... I mean, you wouldn't lie, of course, only stretch the truth....
But what if you felt like it was a secret that shouldn't be kept a secret?
Aargh, eh??
I guess it depends on the situation.
If it's something dangerous...sometimes you have to break someone's trust. If someone's health is at stake, you gotta do what you gotta do cuz you care about the person.
But other minor secrets... I'd say ask the person who entrusted you if it's okay to tell a specific person or two... Sometimes they don't mind, knowing how important it might be for that person to know....
Maybe I'm not making any sense to you...maybe I am... but sometimes when you're foncused you tend to ramble...
But...whatever!

It's Monday...Shushan Purim!
It's like de ja vu....typing from student teaching...just like all last year! (Well, at least for Gishmak....)
I had off Thurs, Fri, Monday....guess where I'm spending my days. No, not Florida...No, not bed....No....The correct answer is: getting in hours in while I can. Believe me, I would rather be sleeping... but I need to do this for college.
But the kids have computers now, so it's like a break for me!
Purim was freilich! My first Purim as a married woman. It was really nice, delivering sholoch manos as a couple, etc. Now we have tons of nosh and my husband isn't a big nosher...the problem is, I am....You're all invited over to help me finish it! (Just call first to make sure I'm not at work, student teaching, or college....) Too much chocolate is not good for anyone - even me! ;)
We had a big family seuda at my aunt's home in BP. Cousins, aunts & uncles, etc. It was really nice!! I like these family get-togethers (see my Chanuka posting).
I got to see one hocker earlier in the day- she was dressed as a snowman. Very cute! (delicious sh'm!)
Tonight we have my husband's old roommates wedding. Big simcha, B"H. He dated a LOT, he's like 28. My friend made the shidduch! So we're really looking forward, BE"H!
Happy Shushan Purim!!
